Why replace missing teeth?
- Appearance and aesthetics
- Improve self confidence
- Improve speech
- Improve chewing ability
- Prevent additional load on remaining teeth
- Prevent adjacent teeth from tipping or moving
What exactly are Dental Implants?
Dental Implants essentially substitute a missing tooth/missing teeth. They are made usually from titanium which is a metal that is compatible with the body and is used very routinely in medical procedures.
They can be used to replace one or many teeth depending on your individual case. Your dentist or implant surgeon can discuss this with you.
Why Dental Implants may be great for you:
- The most comfortable solution for replacing missing teeth for patients.
- The most natural looking replacement for missing teeth
- Fixed in the mouth (doesn’t need to be removed like dentures)
- Does not interfere with neighbouring teeth (like dental bridges)
- Boosts self confidence
- 0% Finance available (speak to reception for more information).
FAQ’s
Most Frequently Asked Questions
Are Dental Implants safe?
Yes, they are very safe. The materials used (often titanium-based) are completely biocompatible and safe to use.
What is the treatment process for Dental Implants?
If you would like dental implants, you will first need to be suitable to have the treatment both medically and dentally.
The treatment phase is usually done in two stages. The first stage is where the implant screw is placed in the mouth. This is the precision titanium screw and is performed under local anaesthetic. This titanium implant is then left to settle and integrate with your jaw bone (osseointegration). The second stage of the treatment is usually a few months later where the crown (top part of the implant) is secured.
Regular review and maintenance is required for implants, just like you do with your usual dentition. A full follow up and maintenance plan about when to see the hygienist and dentist will be discussed during your implant treatment.

Am I suitable for Dental Implants?
You will need a consultation first to assess your requirements, medical history, oral and gum health. Not everyone is suitable. However, if you are interested, we would urge you to arrange an implant consultation and the implant clinician will discuss this with you.
Does placing Dental Implants hurt?
No, not at all. The treatment is performed with local anaesthetic (with or without sedation depending on the case and patient). Our team of highly experienced surgeons will ensure you are at ease before, during and after treatment.
Do I have enough bone for Dental Implants?
You will need a consultation first to assess your requirements. The volume and quality of bone you have will be assessed using a 3D scan. There must be sufficient bone for successful implant placement long term. If there is a lack of bone, replacement bone options are available and this can be discussed by your treatment clinician.
